Stop the Violence - Understanding the Root Cause of Violence in Young People

Stop the Violence! Is it Mental health? Guns? Maybe it’s something deeper.

Explore the causes of violence through the lens of attachment research, neuroscience, and developmental trauma. Science points to the origins of violence, and can show us how to stop it. This talk will interest anyone who has an investment in children—as a parent, a teacher, a human service professional, or a concerned citizen.

Christine offers fresh, research-based ideas about relating to children, and about the root causes of mental health disorders. She created this presentation to follow her article published by The Daily Progress in April, 2013: THE ROOTS OF VIOLENCE: OF STRESS AND CHILDREN. Cost: Free. Held at the NEW Northside Library on Rio Road in Charlottesville.
